Hello blogosphere, I disappear for quite a while since life is hectic with 2 kids and the daily bustle and hustle . I was away visiting family , been back for a week and already have to start packing again. Our winter vacation is fast approaching and packing for a family of 4 is no joke. As usual I'm pretty sure I'm packing way too much, but I rather have outfit options then wearing the same thing for a week I'm weird like that.
In other news We have been 'blessed' with a humongous amount of snow this week and let me tell you it might be a delight for kids not so much for me. So far we had a chill winter not much snow or cold and then bammm out of nowhere we had to be reminded we live in Canada. You can see for yourself below .
I'll probably post again today I'm waiting impatiently for my December glossy box .

Glossybox Canada November 2012
It's that time of the month when i receive a little surprise in the mail, and let me tell you this month is a BIG surprise. My first impression when i picked up my packgage was, wow its heavy and got excited from there. So without further ado here's what's in the november box.
First thing is a glossy mag Gift Guide.
This month box is wrap in winter paper white and red. Pretty adorable.
First thing out of the box is a Uber loyalty card that gives you 50% off all online purchases exclusives to golssybox members.
Then a sample kit of Nexxus Shampoo and Conditioner hydration kit. I tried Nexxus product before i liked it so im happy to try some more .
Then a Vitabath Spa skin treatment moisturizing for the bath and shower. Which is full size at 170g, it has a scented fragrance which i dont really mind, i never heard of vitabath so im excited to try it out.
This product couldnt have come at a better time. Its freezing now and cold makes my hand and cuticules dry so this hand cream by Curel will be used often. It also has a scented fragrance like citrusy atleast. It is full size at 100 ml.
Then comes an Nicole by OPI Kardashian nail polish, i love nail polish and always happy to grow my collection. This shade is a festive gold glittery one. Its also a full size.
Then kryolan for glossybox blusher in glossy pink. nothing special about this blush but its a nice color. Its full size
A sweet little addition a candy cane. My son finished it in couple minutes!

Finally the last product but not the least. A Maybelline MNY MY GLOSS. IM in love with this gloss, the texture and smell of it is amazing. The color not so much for my complexion but mixed with a lip gloss it will be perfect.
All in all im more then impressed with the November glossybox and dont regret paying more for it. I am discovering different brand of make up and it is bringing me outside of my comfort zone.
Thumbs up Team Glossybox.

Getting ready for vacation!!!
Im so excited , we have been playing with the idea of going somewhere again this winter and its finally official. My lil family plus 15 other family member are going somewhere really hot and relaxing in january insha allah, my excitement can barely be contain. It will be our first vacation with the kids so its going to be a lot different and way more baggage, thats where my organization skills comes handy. Im the queen of list which is not always fun for my hubby :). Heres a great list i found for travelling with kids from this website : it litterally has everything your baby or toddler will need on the plane and during vacation.
I purchased an umbrella stroller which will be necessary with a baby and can be gate checked like this one

Then a small carry-on for my son which im really excited to receive. He will be able to ride the carry-on while we wait in the aeroport, so it will be practical for him and us.
Those are the big items i (wanted) needed to purchase the rest is all small stuff, i gotta figure out milk wise, i dont know if i should trust the milk where we are going a lot of people suggested bringing powder milk which i dont mind i grew up on aano Nido haha. Thats my main concern right now but
Im excitedddddddd, did i say that already????!!

Getting ready for winter
And queue winter. We actually had a little bit of snow falling yesterday. its good i guess since i went shopping for a winter coat, not an easy task when you have a specific idea in your head but nothing close to your idea in stores. I settle at the end for Attitude By Jay Emmanuel from sears, its a nice looking and really thick coat to protect me from the canadian winter.
Im hoping i wont need it for another month , but who am i kidding haha.

Time change Canada
Dont forget everyone to turn your clocks back 1 hour tonight. That for me represent winter is coming and im not happy !!! I should be use to it by now it has been 20 years ive been living here, but no i still hate winter and being forced inside its depressing and not fun at all. I love the first snow but after that im over it and my countdown to spring starts hahaha. I wish i was more of a winter outdoorsy person that would be skying, skating etc but sadly that characteristic was passed down to my sister not me.
Summer time tho i catch up and try to be outside everyday, every chance i get i will jump on it.
Only if winter were shorter and summer longer !! # wishful thinking!

October 2012 Glossybox Canada!
I finally received my Glossybox on the last day of the month it seems im getting it later each month.
For those who havent heard about glossybox, its a monthly package that people receive containing beauty product. Basically the reason i suscribe to it (Also Glymm but i unsuscribed after months of dissapointment) is to receive beauty product from companies i have not heard of basically to get out of my usual comfort zone. The cost is 15$/ month but starting november it will be 21$, i dont know yet how i feel about that i love Glossybox but its a big price.
Anyways without further ado heres what was inside my Glossybox this month, the theme for this month was breast cancer.
| Zoya Shimmery pink nail polish its Toxin Free and Full size 15 ml/ 8.00$. I actually really like the shade of pink i tried it on and it suits my skin tone perfectly. |

Khaliat Nahal / Honeycomb Bread
This dessert is something that i never tasted until 4 years ago at a wedding and it was love at first taste! When done right its a tasty sugary bread perfect with a nice cup of tea.
I use to buy it from this lady in town quite often but i got tired of spending money for something i could do myself. I recently purchased a kitchen-aid mixer and that baby has been doing the dirty work of kneading the dough for me, i dont know how i lived without it for so long.
Anyway heres the recipe i found online (Can't remember where) and I've been using and its a hit every time.
First do the Glaze :
1 cup sugar
¾ cup water
1 tbsp. honey
Put the sugar and water in a small pan and bring to boil a few minutes until its consistency ticken. Remove from heat and add the honey. Mix and set aside to cool completely.
Dough
Grease your pan/pans with butter ( you can either use one big pan or 2). Place the balls of dough in a ‘honeycomb’ pattern. Try to get them close to each other so that there are no or very little spaces in between as shown below.
Preheat your oven to 350 F then apply egg wash on the balls,
and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is nice and golden on top. Like the finish product here.

1 cup sugar
¾ cup water
1 tbsp. honey
Put the sugar and water in a small pan and bring to boil a few minutes until its consistency ticken. Remove from heat and add the honey. Mix and set aside to cool completely.
Dough
3½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 tbsp. milk powder
½ cup water (You might need less)
1 egg
3 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. oil
4 tbsp. melted butter
1½ tsp. instant yeast
½ tsp. salt
6-8 portions/triangles of cheese spread (I used Kiri)
1 egg for egg wash before baking ( Used for a glossy finish: mix 1 egg with 1tsp of milk then brush on top of bread and bake)
1 cup milk
2 tbsp. milk powder
½ cup water (You might need less)
1 egg
3 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. oil
4 tbsp. melted butter
1½ tsp. instant yeast
½ tsp. salt
6-8 portions/triangles of cheese spread (I used Kiri)
1 egg for egg wash before baking ( Used for a glossy finish: mix 1 egg with 1tsp of milk then brush on top of bread and bake)
INSTRUCTIONS
In a medium to large bowl put the flour then milk powder, sugar, yeast and salt. Add the oil and butter and the egg, then mix some more. Mix in the milk and start kneading together and gradually add the water little at a time. You will probably not need it all, so add it until your dough is nice and soft. Knead for a good 8-10 minutes. The more you knead it the softer the buns will be.
Touch a bit of oil with your fingertips and apply all over the ball of dough. Cover in a bowl and set aside for 1-4 hours. (I usually knead the dough in the morning and leave it until lunch time).
Once the dough has risen break off tiny bits of dough. You should get about 40 tiny pieces out of this. Take each piece of dough, and stretch it out with your fingers, then add a small piece of cheese in its center. Bring the edges together and form a ball so that the cheese is completely enclosed within the dough. Repeat this with all the dough.
and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is nice and golden on top. Like the finish product here.
Remove from the oven and pour your syrup all over the hot bread. Remember that the syrup needs to be cool and the bread needs to be steaming hot straight from the oven. Then wrap it with foil to make it even more tender inside. Let it cool for couple minutes and enjoy with your drink of choice, i suggest either tea or milk. mmmmmmmm
Enjoy and thank me later :)

Back from fun
Its been amazing eventful couple days for me and my family as it often the case after celebration. I feel exhausted but it was all worth it .
Moving on to more fun stuff home decor. Im the kind of person who needs change on a regular base must be the nomad blood in me, i get bored easily with things to the despair of my hubby (oh what he has to endure you wouldn't believe). I need to change things around often be it my wardrobe, my house style , the food i eat etc etc etc hahha.
So lately i have been itching again to do something to my living room , right now its nice but really conventional and i want to change it to reflect us more. We are young so its should be more modern and stylish.
Its really hard to decide which way to go and find the right pieces that will go together, but im up for the challenge.
